Recommitment

Hello all :)

Well I got my recommitment form in the mail. I have to admit I was a bit shocked. I guess I didn't realize I had to recommit by agreeing to charge whatever remaining balance I don't raise ($4100) by October 12th. I guess I thought if I didn't make the minimum I just couldn't go. I do understand that they need to cover the costs but honestly I'm not rollin' in the dough and if I was left paying $1000 or so (if I didn't make the minimum) that would really screw my finances up.

Hrm. So, I'm not sure what to do. Anyone else a bit alarmed? Have any ideas?

You will get there.
Yes it is a little scary, it always is, but it always works out. And you can get re-imbursed up to 30 days after your event. So, if by chance you don't make it, you can still fundraise past the event and make up for it. Talk to your mentor about it, they are usually a good resource for fundraising ideas and such. :)
Good Luck!

I worried me a lot! But it also got me more organized. I take it one week at it time, making sure I don't schedule to many things to do so I can meet my objectives. Tomorrow morning I'll be asking the local Ralph's if I can stand in front of the market asking for donations in my jersey. I heard one TNT member made her entire goal by doing the same. And she was fundraising for Alaska, the most expensive event.

Good luck! I'm trying different things to fundraise. Feel free to contact me if you want to bounce ideas of each other.
